The word behind English dynamic and dynamite, and the KJV's usual rendering of it in the plural is "mighty works" — miracles described by what they take rather than by how odd they look.

Paul calls the gospel "the power of God unto salvation" (Romans 1:16), and 2 Timothy 3:5 warns of those "having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof" — a verse quoted in Joseph Smith—History 1:19 as part of the answer given in the First Vision. Read alongside exousia, it frames the Restoration's claim precisely: not merely a recovery of correct teaching, but of authority and power together.
