The Septuagint's usual rendering of ṣədāqāh, and it inherits the Hebrew's relational cast. When Matthew 6:33 says to seek first the kingdom of God "and his righteousness," the phrase is not an abstraction — it is God's way of setting things right, and the invitation is to join it.

Matthew 5:6, "hunger and thirst after righteousness," is expanded in 3 Nephi 12:6 to "hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled with the Holy Ghost" — the Book of Mormon naming what fills the appetite.
